High Potential season 2 episode schedule as Disney Plus show takes break

High Potential season 2 is now being released in the UK on Disney+, with new episodes expected next year. This is how many there will be in total.

Popular crime drama High Potential has made its eagerly awaited return for a second series, though viewers will now face a lengthy wait before fresh episodes arrive.

The show made a triumphant comeback this year and remains accessible on Disney+, albeit now under the Hulu branded banner.

Consequently, the streaming platform has implemented a significant alteration to its UK release schedule.

Initially, British audiences were forced to wait several months longer than their American counterparts before accessing the latest episodes themselves.

Nevertheless, this time around episodes were made available just one day afterwards, reports the Mirror.

It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia actress Kaitlin Olson reprises her role as single mum Morgan, the programme’s central character.

Morgan isn’t merely managing her chaotic domestic situation, but she also possesses an extraordinary intellect. Her unorthodox talent for cracking cases results in an unlikely yet formidable alliance with a methodical veteran detective.

Currently, she’s employed full-time with the LAPD to assist them with their most challenging investigations.

Joining Olson, additional cast members returning for the second series include Daniel Sunjata as Karadec, Javicia Leslie as Daphne, Deniz Akdeniz as Lev “Oz” Ozdil, Amirah J as Ava, Matthew Lamb as Elliot, Steve Howey as Nick Wagner and Judy Reyes as Selena Soto.

Seven episodes have been made available thus far. They’re all currently streamable and the specifics of their storylines are outlined below:.

Episode 1 – Pawns

While working relentlessly to protect her family from the Game Maker’s threats, another crime pulls Morgan back into his game and the LAPD must decide whether to trust her instincts before the next move turns fatal.

Episode 2 – Checkmate.

As the Major Crimes team seeks answers amidst a string of unresolved crimes, Morgan suspects the Game Maker is responsible. Meanwhile, Daphne and Oz set out to find Roman, and Elliot prepares a surprise act for his school’s talent show.

Episode 3 – Eleven Minutes.

When a man with a troubled past is killed under mysterious circumstances, Morgan and the LAPD uncover a tragic motive behind his death. Morgan opens up to Ava about her father, forcing Ava to confront truths she isn’t ready to face.

Episode 4 – Behind the Music.

An elderly woman hallucinates a murder and calls the police, but when Morgan and Karadec question her, she denies it. Later that day, the same woman is found dead after being pushed down the stairs.

Morgan and Karadec realise the woman’s hallucination came from an actual memory she witnessed, but was never solved.

Episode 5 – Content Warning.

A reporter and her car are found at the bottom of the lake. The team learns that she went undercover as a streamer at a content house, and try to figure out why.

Episode 6 – Chasing Ghosts.

A man in the midst of a divorce dies in a house thought to be haunted. Morgan and Karadec learn that his ex-wife wanted the house and had hired someone to haunt him.

Episode 7 – The One That Got Away.

Morgan and Karadec are compelled to probe the theft of a valuable painting alongside an “art recovery expert”, Rhys Eastman, who operates for the owner’s insurance firm.

Why is there no High Potential episode this week?

The programme is currently on a mid-season break ahead of Thanksgiving and Christmas. This is standard for network television programmes produced in the United States, whilst it may appear odd for British viewers for a successful series to take some time off mid-season.

Fresh episodes are anticipated to return weekly again each Wednesday in the new year. Whilst Disney have yet to confirm the precise dates, according to IMDB the next instalment will broadcast in the US on January 6.

That should make the restart date in the UK January 7. Below are the expected dates and release windows for the remainder of High Potential season 2.

It is reported that High Potential season two should comprise in total of 18 episodes. This is an increase from last time.
