We begin where Wednesday’s Veto episode left off, with Morgan using the Power of Veto to shake up Vince’s game. Morgan never liked the fact that Vince was equally as close to her as he was to Lauren, so her secret hope was that Lauren left the game, so she could have Vince’s allyship all to herself. Elsewhere in the house, Keanu was still seen as a huge physical threat, so he was relying on the Block Buster to remove himself from the block yet again. All of the houseguests have been suspecting that a double eviction was coming their way, and they’re about to find out that … it’s tonight!

#ButFirst Separate Pages

With only four votes among the players not nominated for eviction, a looming final Block Buster comp, and too-many-to-count objectives circling the house this week, it was anyone’s say where the eviction votes would line up by the end of the night. To make matters worse, longtime allies like Vince and Morgan fell on separate pages with their objectives and other players like Ava could be put in a position to choose between two allies, Lauren and Kelley. Nominated against each other, allies Keanu and Kelley strategized that as long as Lauren doesn’t win the Block Buster they think they’ll have the numbers to both remain in the game.

Despite her best efforts to keep Vince from nominating her, Lauren was up front with him that all of the decisions he’s made in the game have made her game “20 million times harder.” She didn’t understand why he was swayed to nominate her instead of Ashley and even though Vince assured her that she’s not going to go home, Lauren remained unconvinced that Morgan and Ashley would actually vote to keep her. Morgan went as far as telling Lauren straight up she wouldn’t want to to upset Vince by sending her home during his HOH, but then he said that his ideal final three includes both of them which is not Morgan’s plan… setting her off on a new separate page to go back on her word to keep Lauren.

Lip Service

By this point in the game and especially after Zingbot has called him out on his “crybaby” nature, the houseguests were well aware that Vince was mostly handing out lip service with everything he says, groin cramps be damned. With him as HOH and a potential tie-breaking vote, no one could be sure what side he’d favor if put in the position because nothing he vowed to do could be fully trusted.

“Agreed upon targets” and following Vince’s goals for the week were not in the best interest of everyone, so Ashley saw opportunities to make in-roads with “targets” like Kelley who stressed that she would benefit from going to the end of the game with her because it’d “be a fair fight” between the two of them as opposed to against people that seem to have more support from a jury. If Ashley were to move on to Kelley’s side, then that would put Lauren in the hot seat and Ashley knew she’d want to have Morgan make the same decision as her.

Kept up all night by Vince’s comment that Lauren staying in the house is “deeper than game,” Morgan felt like he was holding their personal relationship over her head as collateral this week for her obedience in keeping Lauren safe. She addressed the weight of that comment with Vince directly, but it devolved from a heart to heart into a heated quarrel about two friends harming each other’s games with their selfish moves, including accusations that Vince is a “cold-hearted player” and relationships being ruined. The disagreement escalated so much that their raised voices could be heard throughout the house, illuminating for Lauren and Kelley that Morgan clearly wants Lauren to go home against Vince’s wishes.
