Days of our Lives The Rinse December 30: Chanel’s Pregnancy in Danger

On the December 30 episode of Days of our Lives, Chanel was very, very unhappy to learn that Johnny intends to remain CEO of DiMera Enterprises for the foreseeable future. Especially now that she’s pregnant with their second child. Johnny’s attention should be on her and their growing family. Which is why we suspect the only reason for this surprise pregnancy is so that Johnny’s new job can jeopardize it.

Rue the Rerun

After Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) told Chanel (Raven Bowens) not to get pregnant, lest it prompt her cancer to return, Chanel became obsessed with adopting a baby, Leo (Greg Rikaart) and Javi’s (Al Calderon) foster child, in particular. She got what she wanted, but it took Paulina (Jackée Harry) and EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) pulling enough strings to make it happen. Immediately afterwards, Chanel was shocked to discover that motherhood involved sleepless nights and a fuzzy teether, not just cute outfits and family photo ops. Which is why we’re confused. Why thrust her into another baby story immediately after the first one had barely ended? It will either be the same old thing or nothing at all. Unless, of course, this pregnancy will never come to term.

I Told You So

Chanel doesn’t want Johnny (Carson Boatman) to keep being the head of DiMera. And not just because he has no experience and will likely lead the company into financial ruin, costing thousands of hardworking people their jobs. The only way she can prove she’s right is if Johnny’s insistence on staying CEO causes some sort of tragedy. Like Chanel losing their baby. Then he’ll be sorry!
