Survivor 50 teases biggest Merge ever

Joe And Cirie Survivor 50

Survivor 50 dropped a new promo that teases the biggest Merge in the show’s history.

Fresh off the first double-elimination episode, the producers are increasing the chaos for next week.

So far, only seven people have been eliminated. That means 17 people are still competing for the cash prize.

The latest Tribal Councils saw Angelina Keeley and Charlie Davis voted out. Neither player saw it coming.

Fallout will happen following those votes, but maybe not right away.

Survivor 50, Episode 6 synopsis

“A mysterious boat arrives delivering an exciting message, ‘Drop your buffs!’ A mad dash ensues when castaways discover that an advantage is hidden deep in the jungle. This week’s mouthwatering challenge reward lifts spirits, but only briefly. A true Survivor first, the dreaded blood moon leads to historic Tribal Council, on Survivor 50,” reads the full synopsis for the new episode.

This advantage likely applies to an upcoming challenge, one which everyone needs to win.

As a reminder, there are also three Hidden Immunity Idols still in play. Nobody has been forced to use theirs yet. Could that change soon?

Promo for new Survivor 50 episode teases possible Merge

“Drop your buffs,” shouts a player who just read Tree Mail in the next episode.

“It’s Merge Day!” yells Tiffany Ervin.

Chaos ensues. The new promo shows everyone gathered on one beach. Then they scramble to find an Advantage.

Meanwhile, some players are worried about dishonesty. Others are concerned about forming new alliances.

“Tonight will forever change the game,” host Jeff Probst later teases.

Is this really the Merge? It seems pretty early. The promo may serve as misdirection. While they have everyone on one beach, they could easily split into two tribes once only 16 people remain.

But Jeff has set the stage. Something exciting will happen at the end of Survivor 50, Episode 6.

As a reminder, new episodes of Survivor debut Wednesday nights at 8/7c. This new episode will arrive on April 1.

Previous episodes are available for streaming on Paramount+.
