General Hospital’s New Lucky? ‘I’m Open to Seeing What Life Is Like in Port Charles,’ Says Exiting Days of Our Lives Leading Man

Early in the new year, Days of Our Lives fans were taken aback by the real-life plot twist that found Ashley Puzemis (Holly), Leo Howard (Tate), Raven Bowens (Chanel) and Carson Boatman (Johnny) all being let go by the Peacock soap. But you know what they say: When one door closes, another one opens.

In Boatman’s case, on the other side of that door could be a new gig at General Hospital“I would love a jump to [that show],” SoapHub reported the actor as saying. “I’m absolutely open to seeing what life is like in Port Charles.”

There are certainly a number of roles that Boatman could fill. For starters, he would make a fine Lucky recast. Though it might be odd that kid sister Lulu is now his older sibling, such switcheroos have been done before — recently with Bold & Beautiful’s Hope and Deke, in fact.

When Jonathan Jackson cut short his comeback as Lucky, executive producer Frank Valentini said that he’d always be welcomed back. But Chad Duell said the same thing when he tapped out as Michael, and we don’t see well-received recast Rory Gibson going anywhere.

Anyway, Boatman may not be the only Lucky contender; see what we mean as you watch the video embedded in this story!

If not Lucky, the baby-faced actor could step in as a SORAS’d Cameron, picking up where William Lipton left off. Or he could be an altogether new character, perhaps a love interest for Lucas (since we fear Marco’s days are numbered, and that number isn’t very large!).
